Lee Stein

Lee Stein is Managing Member of Prize Capital, LLC, and Virtual Group, LLC, of Del Mar, California. Stein, a serial entrepreneur, has records of achievement in entertainment finance, Internet commerce, real estate development and venture investing. He has held executive positions in multiple industries, been active in civic roles and in many philanthropic endeavors. He has represented prominent entertainment industry artists, was active in the development of downtown San Diego as president of San Diego Seaport Village, and is known for launching the world’s first Internet Payment System in 1994 through First Virtual Holdings, Incorporated.

His philanthropic activities include the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine, Founding Chair; Scripps Health Trauma & Cardiac Advisory Boards; University California San Diego Scripps Institution of Oceanography Chairman’s Advisory Board; Duke Law School Board of Visitors; Environmental Entrepreneurs (e2, Natural Resources Defense Council) Southern California Chapter co-founder; California Secure Transportation Energy Plan, Director; and the San Diego Stadium Authority, Chairman. He is active in the protection of Bio-diversity in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica and with the X Prize Foundation.

Stein, an attorney, is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and forums, including the United Nations UNFCCC (Bali), Young Presidents Organization Global (Barcelona), Oxford University, International Conference in Women (Deauville), University California Santa Barbara Bren School commencement speaker, DIFC (Dubai), EU BioMarine (France), and Cornell University.

Stein and his family have navigated a series of medical challenges causing them to be quite experienced in both traditional and non-traditional approaches to wellness.
